Far Cry 4 Announced by Ubisoft
What a lovely suit!
The sequel will feature a new protagonist and a new setting known as Kyrat set in the Himilayas. Development is being handled by Ubisoft Montreal, with support from Ubisoft’s Red Storm Entertainment, Toronto, Kiev and Shanghai studios.
“Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations,” revealed Dan Hay executive producer on the project.
“Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”
In the coming months? Really Hay? We reckon he actually means gaming’s annual E3 showcase in Los Angeles – the first day of which kicks off on June 10th.
Far Cry 4 featuring in either Sony’s or Microsoft’s pre-show keynotes wouldn’t be a bad shout either, especially with the game set to launch this side of Christmas.
